“Čepkelių” liqueur is also produced for more than 30 years. Awarded medals at many competitions, it is in very good demand by consumers, its authors were conferred the invention certificate. The link of this product with the geographical area – Čepkeliai reserve – is in that the main raw materials such as cranberries, red bilberries and whortleberries and viburnum bark or leaves, which give the product its exceptional characteristics, are gathered in this reserve. This term may be used to denominate red in colour, sweet and sour in taste liqueur with bitter savour and complex berry odour cranberry flavour being predominant, with at least 36% vol. alcoholic strength, produced from rectified not lower than “Ekstra” type grain ethyl alcohol, potable water treated by the method of reverse osmosis, all-natural cranberry and whortleberry juice, wine and viburnum bark or leaves extract. The product must contain at least 15g/dm3 of juice extract, sugar content shall be at least 100 g/dm3. Use of additional flavourings is not allowed in the production of this liqueur.
